Just because you pay dont mean you get it!

I stopped in Kroger yesterday for a few quick things. After being at the Peddlers Mall all day I was in a hurry to get home.

I only grabbed a hand basket to tote the very few items I needed along. Those few things included my allergy medicine, Zyrtec.

Anyways, I was searching for a small line, when a nice looking young cashier, named Travis, asked if I was ready. I nodded, and bam, I was first in line at his 20 items or less register. I was feeling great. Especially since I had only been in the store approximately 5-6 minutes. I was on a roll!

Well, he placed my other items, rolls, banana's , etc in the bags. Then he held my Zyrtec up in his hand. He said he'd have to remove the security tab so the alarm doesn't sound when I tried to exit. I politely nodded and said, "Oh thanks, that would be so embarrassing."

I fiddled around and I then handed him my money, and so on. I heard the, "Have a great day Mam!" (Mam....what? ah, for another post.) and just like that I was out the door, back in the car and on the interstate back home.

I brought my two small bags in on and sat them on the bar. I dug through the first one, looking for my allergy medicine because I had just sneezed like 6 times in a roll and was ready for it.

I then looked all through the second bag. IT WAS NOT THERE! I went out and looked through my car's front seat, where both bags had ridden home. NOTHING!

I looked over my walkway to my kitchen door. Just in case it had fallen out of the bag. It hadn't! It was no where to be found.

I immediately got flashbacks of when the guy was holding the Zyrtec. I never remember him placing it back in a bag. I do not think he ever did. And apparently not, because it was nowhere around.

So I then call Kroger up. I asked to talk to customer service, after listening to 100 options to choose from. UGH! And then get a nice young man on the phone. I tell him my story and give him the name of the cashier. And he tells me to hold. After only 2 minutes or so of twiddling my thumbs, he comes back on the line.

He tells me that Travis says that he did in fact place it in my bag. I explained that I had double checked everywhere and it was not in either bag. So then, he nicely says that if I'd like to come back up to the store, just stop in the Customer Service department and that they will happily replace it. Just ask for him.

So I thought awww how nice. And wow, I wasnt expecting that.

I however, didnt have time to go back up there last night. And it would've costed me $10 in gas in my Mustang again. So I'll stop later this weekend when I'm up there. Hopefully they will remember me. lol.
