Simon Phillip Cowell, born October 7, 1959 in Brighton, England has announced he is leaving American Idol. Only one day before the shows ninth season began, Simon Cowell sprung the news he will not be there for the tenth season. He was an outspoken, long time judge of the popular talent show.
No one knows yet who will replace him, but rumors have soared saying many celebrities have been lineing up for his spot.
Don't worry. If you are one of Simon Cowells fans, he won't be going far. He is staying with Fox to produce a U.S. version of his U.K. talent show, "The X Factor."
