This has been the second recall of this type within the last month. Apparently an odor has seeped through the air and latched on to the drugs. The odor comes from a chemical used to treat the wooden pallets in the facility located in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. This chemical odor has has been responsible for making people sicker once haveing taken an over-the-counter drug to get better. Some of the symptoms that the odor has caused include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea and vomiting. The FDA has stated that to date, about 70 million people have been affected by these contaminated drugs.
