Christmas Tree Theme?

Each year I have a different theme picked out for our main Christmas tree in the house. (We have one in each room, some tiny, but there.) Anyhow, this year my theme is a red and white candy canes theme. Please see photo attached below. It's not totally finished, I dont use a tree skirt, I like to line certain presents up around it. And note, I only use wrapping paper in which the colors match the tree. Is that weird or do others do this? I am now wandering about myself, since I saw it in type, it just dont sound normal. LOL!

Or do you just throw on the saved ornaments from years gone by and all mixed up lights?
