Views From My Yard -Snow- 11-27-2013

My view at 6:45 am from the side deck:

I guess I'm in a cheery mood because this is m y view at 6:45 am from the side deck. I think it's just beautiful outside!

If you check the second photo of the chair, you can see about how much had accumulated. And boy, doesn't it look cold???

Although it snowed a misty bit day before yesterday, today marks our first accumulation of snowfall.

It began to fall late last night and then by this morning, this is what I woke up to. It's about an inch to an inch and a half. It is also so frigid cold here today. The high is only to reach around 28*.. BURRRR. And the wind chill factor is in the mid teens for the day.

One thing is for sure, if you are venturing out and are in my neck of the woods, you better be bundled up.

How is the weather where you are?

Yum.

Slit Chicken Breasts smothered in brocolli & rice

My husband is home this week due to the snowy weather! YAY for me!! (He's currently outside playing in the snow, making "snow creatures." lol. So I am making dinner, which is odd for me during the week. I usually cook for only me until Saturday and Sunday comes around. And use the work cook lightly. lol. He, on the other hand, eats out day after day. I know for a fact he gets tired of it, so that is one reason we never seem to eat out much when he's at home.

Anyways, I am making some yummy split chicken breasts smothered in rice & brocolli.

What are you having for dinner?

Ummm good!

Snow...January 2011

Everything is still covered in the cold white stuff outside today.

I fought the blistering cold to go outside and snap a few pics to share. After viewing them all, I only really like one. lol.

And here it is. Says nothing but "burrrrrr" to me. lol.

What do you see from your window?

This post goes along with my profile pic. Someone has once posted a comment under it, stating that it would make for a good post. I asked this question once before about a year ago, and got wonderful answers.

It's a simple question. And will give us all a lil insight as to each of our surroundings.

From my window I see big ole hills, countless trees, so bare. A few of them are hanging onto to a couple last leaves that haven't fallen yet. An empty hammock, hanging ever so still, waiting for spring yet once again. A small creak in the distant, flowing ever so gently.

My backyard is huge. It is also called the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Thats what I see from my window.

My all time favorite Christmas Memory!

My All Time Favorite Christmas Memory!

My all time favorite holiday memory has to be when my Mom dissed my new boyfriend.A few weeks before Christmas, it was snowing so hard. We had around 6 or 7 inches or more on the ground already.

My mother had just gotten home from having eye surgery due to cancer. My new boyfriend at the time (who shall remain nameless- FOREVER!), was there visiting & asking her if she needed anything.

She said, "Yes, I know I could eat some Long John Silver's food." (was her favorite place to eat.)
Anyway, he tracked out in the snow, drove 45 minutes away, (on a snowless day that is), so probably like an hour and a half then, and came back with a Long John dinner for her.
She looked him right in the face and just said something like, Ah, I don't really want that! And didn't even take it. She went on all about her business.

He had a blank stare like dang, all that for nothing.

A few weeks later, we opened gifts and she had spent extra on him for his kindness. It was a full outfit, including his favorite Levi jeans & long sleeve western type shirt. Because he was a horse trainer, he loved that type of clothing.

Even though she was rude at the time, due to medicine. lol. Then he got to reep his rewards so to speak, in the end. lol.

Caption This......Icecycles

I was looking out my window today, Jan. 12, 2010, and thought this would make a lovely pic. So I took one. Touched it up in photo explosion and here you go.

Can You Write a Caption for this Pic?

Simple question. And will give us all a lil insight as to your surroundings.

What do you see from your window?

From where I sit, in my computer room, I see big ole hills, countless trees, so bare. A few evergreens here and there. Snow falling and a lil creek that is frozen, still trying to flow in spots. It is also called the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Thats what I see from my window.

Snow: Jan. 7, 2010

I jotted on down to my mailbox in my boots, fuzzy jacket, gloves, scarf and camera in hand. My doggie, Princess by my side, of course. She would not wear her sweater and when I went to put on her fuzzy jacket, it is now too little. Humm, guess she's eating good. Anyways, I took a few pics so ya'll can see it. It's been snowing all day. And these were taken around 12pm, so now we have about 2 inches more, or so. I'm so not good with measurements, but my momma always told me that was ok, cause I have good bone structure. lmao. (ok, that was a just a joke.) Enjoy the pics.
