I'm really starting to hate going to the grocery store now. And not just because of the prices anymore. Seems like there's a salmonella scare within something now, every few months. And today it is with 101 peanut butter products and additional items made with Sunland products to be safe. There's also a recall on cantaloups from south western Indiana also containing the salmonella bacteria.
The main focus of the recall surrounds a peanut brand called Trader Joe's. Please note, Jiff and Skippy are NOT among the recall list. And remember, if you don't know for sure about your product, ABC News advises for you to throw it out. Better safe than sorry.
Here's a list I found on
ABCNews of some the names to watch out for:
Stores that sold it: Whole Foods Market, Target, Safeway, Fresh & Easy, Harry and David,
Sprouts, Heinen's, Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, Giant Food of
Landover, Md.
Brands to watch out for are: Target's Archer Farms, Safeway's Open Nature, Earth Balance, Fresh
& Easy, Late July, Heinen's, Joseph's, Natural Value, Naturally
More, Peanut Power Butter, Serious Food, Snaclite Power, Sprouts Farmers
Market, Sprouts, Sunland and Dogsbutter.
Sunland's recall includes 101 products

I will update this later, as new stores/items are revealed. I just read that Kroger also have cleared some shelves of possible contaminated products.
