CHOCOLATE GRAVY RECIPE

Have you ever heard of Chocolate Gravy?

I hadn't until I met my husband.
He asked me to cook it once and I was like, "what the heck?"
But he went on to tell me that his mom had always had it as a regular thing in their household growing up.

If you want to give it a try, here is the recipe from the Food Network.
I had to go look it up myself for the first time. But it's really pretty simple.

No wander my husband was always so hyper in the mornings!

Easy Fudge Recipe

Fudge you say? Well forget all your fails before, this is a super easy recipe that only takes about 10 minutes & your done!

You need:
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips (18oz)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 & 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Melt your chocolate chips and condensed milk in a heavy saucepan.
I choose a cast iron skillet. Reason is you don't want your chocolate to burn in a think pan before it all gets melty!
Next:
When it is all a melty mixture, simply pour it out into a container that you have greased with some butter. Just enough to prevent sticking and I love tiny the added "umph" of flavor. lol

That's it. Just sit it in the fridge for a bit too cool, if you can't wait. Then cut up into squares!

Ummm Ummm Good!

No Bake Oatmeal Cookies

Since I couldn't bake anything sweet last night, I chose to make some no bake cookies. Chocolate, peanut butter, oatmeal, no bake cookies that is. YumO!

I googled an easy recipe and ended up on Spark Recipes and followed it loosely. As I always do. A lil bit more of this, a lil bit less of that. It's a wander anything of mine ever turns out edible. lol. But they did. And they were awesome. They didn't have an overwhelming chocolate or peanut butter taste. It was just almost a perfect combination.

Needless to say, with my husband home on vaca, all of them are gone today. But I did snap a pic of them last night.

Here's the link to the easy, microwaveable recipe.

Have you tried..

Have you ever tried SnowCream?

It's a common thing around here, or well use to be when I was little. You make your own "SnowCream" by using snow, (not from the first fall), and adding sugar, vanilla extract, and cream or milk. Mix it to your own tasting.

You can also put a dash of food coloring in it to mix it up for kids. My brother use to always use some hersheys coco or the hersheys syrup to make Chocolate "SnowCream."

Have you ever tried it?
