Do you blog?

Do you blog?

I was just closing out the evening by visiting sites that I have written down in my organizer. I have a list that I like to view on occassion to see how things are going. And one of those sites is Google Adsense.

Google's Adsense is basically a program that allows you to get paid by allowing Google to place targated ads onto your blog or website. I like it but the earnings come in slow. And I mean slow!

And what's even more said is that traffic is down considerably also on my other blog, Old Crow Prims. I am not sure why that is. Well, it has never been in the fast lane of viewing anyways. But believe me, when I log on and just see 5 views a day, I get all excited! Just knowing someone is interested in your posts is awesome. But then again, they may have gotten there by total accident. Who knows? lol. Either way, I am estatic just to see my counter climb, even by if only a few views a day.

So anyways, that all leads me to the question I started out with in my head when beginning this post.

Do You Have a Blog? If so, feel free to leave me a link. I'd like to check it out!

Do you have any creative ways to drive traffic to your blog?

Digital Cameras Go Wi-Fi

Digital Cameras Go Wi-Fi

Samsung brings us the latest in technology with it's All-Share Digital Samsung SH100 "Wi-Fi" Camera!

You can now capture all of your everyday photos and videos and share them easier than ever with the new wi-fi settings.

Oddly, the camera doesn't jump out to you as being different from the average digital camera. I first looked at it as nothing special. But once learning all of the features, it really stands out.

The cool wi-fi settings include basically all shareing revenues such as Facebook, Photobucket, Picasa or basic emailing. And need I say with the touch of one button.

I'm definately putting this Samsung SH100 digital camera on my Christmas wishlist.

What type of camera do you use?

Etsy Goes Global

Etsy Goes Global

Etsy, the world's favorite online handmade marketplace, is going global.

Etsy is mostly known for it's wide variety of handmade goods. It has been around now for six years and has more than 11 million users. But what most people don't realize is that they also sell vintage items and crafting supplies. And the company wants to spread the word. In fact, they want to spread the word globaly.

The headquarters of Etsy is in New York. But it now has a new branch which is located in Europe, thanks to the new CEO Chad Dickerson and founder Robert Kalin. This is the company's first expansion to becomming well known internationally.

Etsy has also launched a new thing called Search Ads with the company's expansion. It is a new way for sellers to promote thier items right on the site for more search hits. And another new update is the merchandise hubs. There are now three themes of hubs titled: fashion, kids and home. All of which makes your search or posting easier.

I have an Etsy shop found here.

How Much Does Your Turkey Weigh?

How Much Does Your Turkey Weigh?

Well, after days of saying I was not gonna do it....I did! I went ahead and purchased everything needed to make a Thanksgiving feast. Not sure when I'll cook it though, maybe this week, lol.

I ended shopping at the Super Walmart and up buying a Honey Suckle White hen turkey that weighed 11.93 pounds. It cost $.78 per pound, totally it out to $9.31. It has the pop up timer also, so I guess that was a good deal. I dunno really, cause the crowd was so huge, I didn't have time to really compare prices. Mostly what I went on was that the Honey Suckle White brand was the only ones that were not frozen. So being since this was my last minute decision, that was great!

After picking out the turkey, I then had to wander all the aisles looking for sides. It turned out to be a two hour affair. But I am sure we will enjoy it whenever I get time to cook and for him [my husband] to be home.

Since we all here at Gather are dots on the map everywhere, I thought this would be fun. Let's do a comparison of turkey sizes and prices in our locations. Just to see if there are major or minor differences.

How much does your turkey weigh this year?

Mine is 11.93 punds @ $0.78/per pound = Total Price $9.31

WOW! That's alot of Aluminum Foil.

The Reynolds Co. reported to Christmas Facts that each year approximately 3000 tons of aluminum foil, also referred to as Reynolds wrap, is used during the holiday seasons to wrap turkeys.

The name Reynolds wrap got pinned due to the fact that the Reynolds Metals company produced it. The Reynolds Metal company is also the largest manufacturer of aluminum foil in North America.

Interesting Facts:

  • In the USA, foil was first used in 1913 to wrap Life Savers, candy bars and gum.

  • The first audio recordings were made of tin foil on phonograph cylinders.

  • In America, people recycle approximately 65-70% of aluminum foil.

  • In a landfill, it will take approximately 400 years for aluminum foil to break down in a natural state.

Wow, 3000 tons of aluminum foil used on a yearly basis is staggering! Do you use aluminum foil? I know I contribute my share to the usage, but only about one roll a season.

Ebay Loses Lawsuit | Victims Win Back Millions

I recently wrote an article titled: Ebay Sued for $30 Million for Overcharging Fees back around January 21, 2011. Well, alot of time has passed and I hadn't heard nor read anything else of the lawsuit.

I was interested because me, along with thousands others, were listed as "victims" in the lawsuit because Ebay had overchaged us in fees.

Well, today I go and check my mailbox and along with bills galore, I find an odd letter from Yingling V.Ebay, INC. and I immediately know what it is. Well, I thought it was just more paperwork or something I may have to sign, but to my suprise it was a letter about the details with an attached check from the settlement fund.

I was happy! Not because it's a large check, by no means, just because I know that eBay didn't get to pocket my money, along with thousands of others', this time!
