Here's an old metal coal bucket I won from a local auction. It was a flat, silvery tin color when I got it. I painted it up, painted a stencil saying, and free-handed a primitive looking snowman. I just love painting snowmen on anything. lol.
I had a few odd blocks of finished wood laying around from an auction box that I'd bought. And it took me a few weeks to come up with something to put on them. I love primitive looking snowmen, so I decided to make me a cute little shelf sitter. It stands up perfectly and is a great item to tuck back on a shelf to add a touch of the season. Was very simple and only took about 20 minutes, as I just freehanded it all.
My dad gave me this old red lantern, along with a green one also. They both have just been sitting around in a box waiting on me to do something, so I finally did. I took the globe out and and carefully painted it with a primitive snowman holding an old crow on his arm branch. And painted a little "believe" sign and attached it. I didn't keep this, but it's for sale at my Peddlers Mall booth.
