Primitive Coal Bucket

Here's an old metal coal bucket I won from a local auction. It was a flat, silvery tin color when I got it. I painted it up, painted a stencil saying, and free-handed a primitive looking snowman. I just love painting snowmen on anything. lol.

Primitive Snowman Ornaments Metal Stars

I picked up these cute little metal stars at the local Dollar Mart. They were only $1.00 each. After painting them I only priced them for $3.00. But hey, that's more than I started with. And only used items I had. :-)

I decided to put some primitive looking snowmen on them. I love replacing the "coal
buttons" with star buttons.

I used regular bottles of craft paint, found at WalMart.

I think it just makes it look more primitive. I didn't keep these after all. But they are for sale in my Peddlers Mall booth #555.

Makeover | Window Treatment

My latest makeover project is a little wooden window frame. I picked it up from the auction Friday night for only $3.50! I hated the color and double hated the dried flowers even more. lol.
So today I started the lil makeover process. And after about an hour of decorating it and adding the curtains, candle and sprigs, I was super happy with the end result.

Heres the before:

Flicker Light Lantern

I took an old, green lantern and painted it black here and added a night light electric light. I then replaced the regular night light with a old fashioned flicker bulb. This way it looks as if a real flame is flickering. See video below.
I just love it. I also tied a piece of homespun fabric to the top. It sits in our home beside a wall of my husbands train collection.

Break Time!

I am sneaking a break from painting Christmas balls. I have bought a few boxes of them to paint for my Peddlers Mall booth. I'm mostly putting primitive looking snowmen and old crows on them with santa hats. lol.

The snowmen still seem to be the hottest. So I do all types of them.

Well, a few more posts, maybe, and then back to painting. I cannot believe it is already 2:15pm. Gosh, this day has flew by!
