What do you see from your window?

This post goes along with my profile pic. Someone has once posted a comment under it, stating that it would make for a good post. I asked this question once before about a year ago, and got wonderful answers.

It's a simple question. And will give us all a lil insight as to each of our surroundings.

From my window I see big ole hills, countless trees, so bare. A few of them are hanging onto to a couple last leaves that haven't fallen yet. An empty hammock, hanging ever so still, waiting for spring yet once again. A small creak in the distant, flowing ever so gently.

My backyard is huge. It is also called the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Thats what I see from my window.

What do you see from your window?

Eternity Counter?

Thanks to a junk mail packet in todays mailbox, I stumpled upon some interesting info to share. Seems a religious orgainzation claims to keep up with the "eternity clock" at thier headquarters. And that it registers how many people in our world have died since the year began.

According to the "eternity counter" 150,000 people in our world will die just today. And what I found very astonishing was that it states that already, this year, 2010, that 50 million people worldwide have died.Wow. That's a huge number. So large my mind cannot really comprehend it. But I know it's huge.

Have you ever heard of the "eternity counter" before?

Conan O'Briens Last Day...January 22, 2010?

Conan O'Brien has reportedly said that he will leave the tonight show if he has to follow Jay Leno at the 12:05 am time slot. People.com has reported that Conan

O'Briens last day may be January 22, 2010. This has everyone in a frenzy.

Apparently the NBC Network wants the super famous, Jay Leno back in the late nite time slots. It seems that his Prime Time show has flunked. But getting Conan O'Brien out of the way to make room will not come cheap. NBC is ready to offer Conan O'Brien a huge chunck of change as a settlement and a time slot on a competing network in the near future.

Will Conan O'Brien accept NBC's offer? Well, TMZ has said that NBC has already struck up the deal with Jay Leno for him to regain the reins of the Tonight Show.

Will January 22, 2010 be Conan O'Briens last day? We all will have to wait and see.

Conserve Energy....Fart in a Jar!

Omgosh is probably what you will say after reading this. But my family seems to have that effect on most people. It's like the more you get to know us, the more you probably wish you didn't. lol.

Anyways, I was at my dad's house over the weekend. He is newly wed and thus our extended family was in attendance also. I was going on about how I really want to stick to my New Years Resolutions for 2010. And most people were listening. "I was doing good," I thought as I kept on talking, trying to keep conversation flowing. Everyone is still new to each other, and at times it tends to get eerily quiet (spell check, sis!)

Well, still rambling on, with most eyes focused on me, I began to tell a couple of my resolutions. I was telling of how I want to save money, recycle, remodel a few rooms, lose some weight and to conserve energy. Well, right out of the blue, my dad pops up, very loud, "If I wanted to conserve energy, I would just fart in a jar!"

Omgosh! Right? Right in front of his new wifey!

That's what I thought. He has always been one to speak his mind but....please. We are in the company of the new. They don't know how to take us yet. lol. And to finish up my rambling...lets just say I left it at that. Stopped telling my resolutions and kinda went on playing with my nephew and neice. My dad will and has always been a very funny man to be around. Our days are never dull with him around.

COKE POINTS Rewards Program Closing?

I recently put up some coke points on a post to give away (FOUND HERE) since I don't use them anymore. Well, needless to say, I got the COKE BUG AGAIN! lol, so after that giveaway, I'm gonna start saving them again. And went and found my lil stash of coke points and went to the MyCokeRewards site to start entering the rest of mine.

Last time I entered any, I believe they had a limit of 10 per day to enter. Well, today after entering 10, it kept letting me enter them until I got this message below on a pop-up:

Hang on to that code.

Entering it now would put you over the weekly 120-point limit. You can enter that code and more when your Points Tracker resets Monday at 12 a.m. ET. And of course, you can still earn Bonus Points anytime, even though you've reached the weekly limit.

learn more

Well, I hit the "learn more" button and got to read this:

2010 Program Extension::More Good Times are Coming Your Way

We've got some great news for you; My Coke Rewards will keep going in 2010. With millions of more ways to grab points from some new brands and packages, you can keep rewarding yourself all year long. The points you have already picked up will carry over and there will be no interruption in code entry. Check out the new rules after January 1 for complete details and dates.

I Searched through a few more Q&A's and found this (Which I had no idea about):

The Big Picture::How long will My Coke Rewards go?

The current phase of the program ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2009, and you can enter codes up through 11:59 p.m. ET November 30, 2009. We started this up back in early 2006, so we’ve been doing this for a while. We have to take it year by year; the program has been extended in the past, but that does not necessarily mean it will happen again. In years past, extensions have been communicated near the end of the year, so please read the full Terms and Conditions and keep an eye on these dates. Codes can be entered through November 30, 2009; points can be spent through December 31, 2009

So in other words, without even knowing it, apparently Coke Rewards was going to end on Dec. 31, 2009, but has decided to keep going in the 2010 year. YAY!

FREE COKE POINT ALERT

So, I will run this post and the person who comments the most comments by Sunday, (Jan. 10,2010, around 9 pmish)

I will click on their name (Whoever comments the most on this post) and send them: a code from a 24 pack, which is 20 points, I think. If you don't use them, win them for a friend of yours!

GOOD LUCK AND COMMENT COMMENT!

What do you see from your window?

Simple question. And will give us all a lil insight as to your surroundings.

What do you see from your window?

From where I sit, in my computer room, I see big ole hills, countless trees, so bare. A few evergreens here and there. Snow falling and a lil creek that is frozen, still trying to flow in spots. It is also called the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Thats what I see from my window.

Snow: Jan. 7, 2010

I jotted on down to my mailbox in my boots, fuzzy jacket, gloves, scarf and camera in hand. My doggie, Princess by my side, of course. She would not wear her sweater and when I went to put on her fuzzy jacket, it is now too little. Humm, guess she's eating good. Anyways, I took a few pics so ya'll can see it. It's been snowing all day. And these were taken around 12pm, so now we have about 2 inches more, or so. I'm so not good with measurements, but my momma always told me that was ok, cause I have good bone structure. lmao. (ok, that was a just a joke.) Enjoy the pics.
